THE GAME NEEDS you

originals

In a powerful collaboration with Uninterrupted and Pacific Town Club, my work on "The Game Needs You" series shines a spotlight on the remarkable journeys of Black athletes who have broken barriers and forged new paths in underrepresented sports.

Through intimate storytelling, we provide a platform for these trailblazers to share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs, amplifying voices that have often gone unheard.

The debut episode features Russell Winfield, the world's first professional Black snowboarder, affectionately known as "Uncle Russ." Against the breathtaking backdrop of Big Bear Mountain, Winfield takes us on a captivating journey, from his early introduction to the sport in Upstate New York to his ascent as a pioneering figure, bringing his unique style and presence to the slopes.

This powerful series celebrates the resilience, determination, and passion that drive these athletes to push boundaries and inspire future generations. By highlighting their stories, we aim to create greater representation, foster inclusivity, and encourage others to fearlessly pursue their dreams, no matter the obstacles.

Through "The Game Needs You," I am honored to contribute to the ongoing conversation about diversity and representation in sports, showcasing the incredible talent and perseverance of Black athletes who are redefining what is possible.
